Allen J. Kopetsky

Allen (Al) J. Kopetsky, age 87, of Two Rivers passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Manitowoc.

Al was born June 8, 1938 in Two Rivers, son of the late Wenzel and Esther (Ruminski) Kopetsky.  He was a graduate of Washington High School with the Class of 1956.  On October 15, 1960 he was united in marriage to the former Lou Ann Spaeth.  She preceded him in death on June 25, 1991.

For over 35 years, Al managed the Speedway Gas Station in Two Rivers, proudly serving as the store’s first and only manager until his retirement in 1998.

Al enjoyed fishing, gardening, Sunday suppers with family, casino visits and coaching his children’s sports team.  He was an avid sports fan, whether it was watching his children and grandchildren play or cheering on the Packers, Badgers and Brewers.  Al especially loved his Brewers, watching and listening to each game even in his final days.

Survivors include his children:  Jodi (Ryan) Kabelowsky; Julie (Jeff) Kresal; Jeff (Amanda) Kopetsky; his grandchildren:  Ashley (T.J.) Seiler; Brett (Steffini) Kabelowsky; Jillian Kresal; Kaitlyn Kresal; and his great grandchildren:  Connor & Keegan Seiler; Mason & Micah Kabelowsky; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Al was preceded in death by his mother Esther Kopetsky, his father and step-mother Wenzel & Solveig (Tangen) Kopetsky, sister and brother-in-law Marian & Eddie Gilbert and his brothers and sisters-in-law:  Arnold & Marty Kopetsky, Marvin & Genal Kopetsky and an infant brother John Kopetsky.

The family extends a sincere thanks to the staff of The Villas at Felician Village for their care. They are especially thankful to HomeCare Health Servies & Hospice, whose compassion, support, and dedication ensured Al’s comfort and dignity in his final days.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers.  Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to take place following services at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
