Arik Hansen Obituary

Arik I. Hansen, age 79, of the Town of Two Rivers passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, in Green Bay.

Arik was born on September 7, 1945, in Two Rivers, son of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Thais (Last) Hansen.  He was a graduate of Washington High School with the Class of 1963.  On July 22, 1977, he was united in marriage to the former Shirley Hardrath in Manitowoc.

Arik worked at his family’s business Hansen The Florist for most of his life, taking a job with the city of Two Rivers cutting grass in his later years.

Arik enjoyed hunting, trapshooting, and gardening.  He was also a member of the Town of Two Rivers Fire Department, becoming Fire Chief in 1997, and a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, Wisconsin Chapter.


Survivors include his wife:  Shirley Hansen, Two Rivers; two sons Christian Hansen and his wife Lori, Adam Hansen and his wife Rebecca; sister Kaaren Petersen and her husband Jeff; brother Lawrence Hansen Jr and his wife Carol; granddaughter Kayli Hansen and grandson Benjamin Hansen.

Arik was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence, Sr. & Thais Hansen, his first wife Audrey, his daughter Wendy Ulmer, and his son-in-law Ben Ulmer.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein & Stangel Funeral Home location, on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein & Stangel location, is assisting the Hansen family with funeral arrangements.
