Audrey E. (Denk) Christiansen

Audrey E. Christiansen, age 84, of rural Manitowoc, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning, April 6, 2022 at her residence.

The former Audrey Denk was born on June 24, 1937 in the town of Cato, daughter of the late Harvey and Caroline (Gresl) Denk. She grew up in Manitowoc and attended local area schools. On July 5, 1958 Audrey was married to LeRoy K. Christiansen in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2015. Audrey was a seamstress in the past, working in the Manitowoc area. She was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church and Bethany’s Ladies Aid. Audrey enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, gardening, spending time in the outdoors especially working in her yard and garden.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law: Kelly (Carol) Christiansen, Newton, Scott (Linda) Christiansen, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Lynn Christiansen and Ed Olson, Grafton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild due to arrive shortly; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: LeRoy (Laverne) Denk, Two Rivers, Dennis (Marion) Denk, Manitowoc; five brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law: Donald (Dorothy) Christiansen, Whitelaw, Jack (Marcia) Christiansen, Manitowoc, Janet Allen, Highland, IN, Pat Meulemans, Manitowoc, Karen (Bruce) Hansen, Manitowoc, Dorothy (Van) Neff, Manitowoc, Jerry Aulik, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harvey and Caroline Denk; one sister and brother-in-law: Jeanette (Orville) Radandt; one brother and sister-in-law: Wilfred (Shirley) Denk; one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Nancy Aulik, Robert Christiansen, James Allen, Jack Meulemans.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. The Rev.’s Robert Kujawski and Stephen Melso will officiate with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials in Audrey's name can be made to Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church.
