Barbara J. Lakatos

Barbara J. Lakatos, age 71, of Kellnersville, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay following a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving nieces Dawn, Jessica, and Melissa.

Barb was born on January 7, 1954, in Manitowoc, a daughter of the late Ervin “Tubba” and Betty (Lensmeyer) Lakatos. She was a lifelong resident of Kellnersville attending St. Joseph Catholic grade school, as well as Reedsville High School graduating with the class of 1972. Barb worked for the Mirro Company until their closure and then worked for Lowe’s in Manitowoc until her retirement. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball for many teams, going to Packer games, traveling, and going out with her cousins for “Cousins Breakfast.” She enjoyed her friends and family.

Survivors include her four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Patsy (Roger) Siehr, Kellnersville, Daryl (David) Wallenfelsz, Onalaska, Lois (Doug) Biely, Francis Creek, Sandy Warpinski, Maribel; two godchildren: Brenda Faber and Scott Biely; one aunt: Janet Lensmeyer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents Ervin “Tubba” and Betty Lakatos, and one brother-in-law: Andy Warpinski.

A memorial service to celebrate Barb’s life will held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main St., Kellnersville. The Rev. Brian Belongia will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Kellnersville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
