Bernadette V. Schenk was called to God on March 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away in her home in the Town of Newton, Wisconsin in her husband’s arms.
Bernadette was born in Chicago on January 4, 1951, a daughter of the late Clement Maliszewski and Lorraine V. Maliszewski (nee Michalak). She married James Schenk on May 26, 1984, and moved from the Chicago area to Newton, Wisconsin, in 2000. Bernadette worked as a certified Paralegal for 25 years, after which she was a Partner in her husband’s consulting business for 25 years. She loved the Wisconsin area and the Lake Michigan site of her home.
Bernadette was a wonderful friend and wife and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband: James; sister: Pamela (Maliszewski) Drust (Wayne); stepdaughter: Kathryn Keenan (nee Schenk) (David); and stepson: Michael Schenk (Debra).
Per Bernadette’s wishes, cremation will take place and no public services will be held.
