Betty Walske

Betty Walske, age 91, a Manitowoc resident, passed away early Saturday morning, August 28, 2021 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

Betty was born on August 24, 1930 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Gordon and Helen (Krenz) Bentley. She was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. On November 12, 1960 she married Richard Walske in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2015. In her early years she was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company and Manitowoc Shipbuilding. Betty was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, the St. Clare Society, the Lakeshore Red Hatters and a former member of the Young at Heart Line Dancers. She also enjoyed golf, bowling at Meadow Lanes and spending time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter: Lisa (David) Johnston, Manitowoc; three step-children: Ronald (Jean) Walske, Maryland, Christie Ann Dell’O Modarme, Chicago, Michael (Jody) Walske, Two Rivers; six grandchildren: Dylan Johnston, Wyatte Walske, Lara Dell’O Modarme, Romina Larson, Jenna Delia and Daniel Marcus. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son-in-law: Paolo Dell’O Modarme.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Ave.), Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Ben Johnson with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, September 3, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
