Carol C. (Seifert) Nelesen

Carol C. Nelesen, 85, formerly of Manitowoc, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Tender Hearts Assisted Living, Howard.

Carol was born on August 25, 1937 in Sheboygan, WI, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Theobald) Seifert. She graduated in 1956 from Sheboygan South High School. On May 13, 1961 Carol married Kenneth R. Nelesen at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2020. Carol worked in the past for Northern Labs and was a sewing machine operator for Dow Canvas until her retirement. Carol enjoyed crocheting and scrapbooking. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Francis of Assisi Prayer Shawl Ministry, St. Francis of Assisi Christian Women, Lakeshore Visually Impaired Support Group, St. Vincent DePaul Society and the Daughters of Isabella.

Carol is survived by her four children: Laura L. (Mitchell) Warner, Suamico; John R. Nelesen, Reedsville, and his girlfriend Dawn Sukowaty; Mary A. (Gary) Kernodle, Sullivan, WI; Paul T. Nelesen, Manitowoc, and his girlfriend Lisa Wiegert; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: William (Kathy) Nelesen, Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Elizabeth Seifert; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Raymond and Marie Nelesen; one sister and brother-in-law: Ardell (Bob) Fillion; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Kathleen (Dugan) Theobald; two nephews, thirteen aunts and eleven uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
