Cathie L. Mellstrom

Cathie L. Mellstrom, age 73, of Manitowoc passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Sharon R. Richardson Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.

Cathie was born October 9, 1951, in Moscow, ID, daughter of the late Wayne and Arlene (Gaedtke) Shellman.  She was united in marriage to Dennis Mellstrom on April 12, 1969, in Idaho.

Cathie loved cats and was an avid reader.  She loved watching cooking shows, going for car rides and looking for wildlife.  Cathie especially enjoyed cooking and baking with her granddaughter.

Cathie worked at Perkins for 9 years, Dow Canvas, and Mister Donuts.

Survivors include her husband: Dennis Mellstrom; her son and daughter-in-law: David & Tara Mellstrom; her granddaughter: Mikaela Mellstrom; her brother: John (Kriss) Shellman; her brother-in-law: Gary (Judy) Mellstrom; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her very good friends Tom and Judy Reedy.  Cathie was preceded in death by her parents: Wayne & Arlene Shellman; two granddaughters: Lindsay & Nicolle Mellstrom; her sister: Pam; brother: Lee Shellman; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Norman & Thelma Mellstrom; sister-in law: Gina and two brothers-in-law William and Scott Mellstrom.

Cremation has taken place and per Cathie’s wishes there will be no services.  She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date.
