Charles Weier Obituary

Charles C. Weier, age 89, of Two Rivers, passed away Friday morning, October 27, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Facility in Sheboygan Falls.

Charles (Chuck) was born on March 15, 1934, in Two Rivers, son of the late Joseph and Aurilla (Vieau) Weier. He attended local area schools in Two Rivers graduating with the class of 1952 from Two Rivers Washington High School. Chuck served in the United States Army and after his Honorable Discharge from the Army, he furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. On November 25, 1965, Charles married the former Frances Reiter in Louisville Kentucky. Prior to Chuck's retirement he owned and operated Tech Base Inc.  Chuck was a descendant of Jacques Vieau, the first French explorer in this area.  This ancestry is certified in a Pioneer Certificate. Chuck grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan and enjoyed sailing and fishing. It was his love of the great lakes and sport fishing that lead him to join the Northeast Wisconsin Great Lakes Sport Fishing (NEWGLSF) club, where he served as club President for many years.  Chuck also championed the Lake Michigan Sport Fishing Industry legislatively to help conserve the resource to ensure future generations would be able to enjoy the sport as much as he did.

Survivors include his wife: Frances Weier, Two Rivers; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael (Donna) Weier, Two Rivers, Chris (Jodi) Weier, Two Rivers; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother and sister-in-law: Kent (Nita) Reiter, KY, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
