Charlotte R. Endries

Charlotte R. Endries, age 89, of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully early Monday evening, November 24, 2025 at St. Mary’s Home for the Aged.

Charlotte was born on October 15, 1936 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late William and Leona (Armbruster) Wells. She graduated with the class of 1955 from Lincoln High School. On May 11, 1957 Charlotte was married to Donald P. Endries at First German Ev. Lutheran Church. She was an eighteen-year employee of Manitowoc County, retiring in 1992. Charlotte was a current member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. In the past she enjoyed Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, A Patch of Lakeshore Quilters and Lakeshore Quilt Makers Club.

Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law: Vicki (Randy) Brull, Keshena; Susan (Richard) Sonnenberg, Montello; one son and daughter-in-law: Steven (Jennifer) Endries, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Kylie (Paul) Hamann, Chetek, Tim (Rebecca) Brull, Appleton, Shelby Sonnenberg, Pewaukee; one great grandson: Harrison Hamann, Chetek; one sister-in-law: LaVerne Hecker, Manitowoc; one brother in-law: Wayne (Kay) Endries, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Endries; parents: William and Leona (Armbruster) Wells; sister: Judith (Wells) O’Leary; brother-in-law: Thomas O’Leary; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Sylvester and Elaine (Beherent) Endries; one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Dolores (Florian) Skowronek, Lloyd Hecker, Sam Gordon, a niece and nephew.

A private family Funeral service will be held at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Caleb Davisson will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Homecare Health and Hospice, especially Breanna and Niki for their loving care shown to Charlotte and her family.  Special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Home for the Aged for their dedication and care for the past 17 months.
