Charlotte Karleen Harlin, 81, of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long and beautiful life on 1/4/2025.
She was born in Spokane, Washington on May 18th, 1943, to Joseph Jennings and Jeannie Poteet. She moved around with her military family when growing up, cherishing her time in Hawaii and California. She graduated from Corona High School and married her high school sweetheart, Steve Harlin in 1965 and continued to move with the military as he served as a pilot with the Marines. They finally settled in Minnesota and enjoyed a very social life with many friends, neighbors, and fellow Northwest Airlines families. She was known for her Bridge and Mahjong parties and loved playing tennis.
Charlotte was very proud of her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. After retiring from her career as a bookkeeper she spent her time as a care provider for Tender Hearts and a crossing guard for the Sheboygan Falls School District. She also enjoyed spending time with family and playing Mahjong with friends. Charlotte had a special place in her heart for her pet pug named Sarah who would eat steamed vegetables and watch TV with her. She had a good sense of humor and would help anyone who needed it and loved to socialize.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Jeannie Poteet and her ex-husband Steve Harlin, and is survived by her sister Janet (Charles) Kawecki of Mt Jackson VA; her two sons Brian (Laurie) Harlin of Plymouth WI, and Darell (Kelly) Harlin of La Crosse WI; her fourteen grandchildren Taylor (Courtney) Harlin of Manitowoc WI, Zakery Harlin of Sheboygan WI, Natalie Harlin, Jeneane Harlin and her fiancé Chris Smith, Madison Harlin, Maxwell Harlin, Sergei Harlin, Natasha Harlin, Dima Harlin, Crosby Harlin, Nash Harlin all of Plymouth WI, Pierre Harlin of Green Bay WI, Cooper Harlin, and Sophia Harlin both of La Crosse WI; and her four great-grandchildren Adalyne Harlin, Alayna Harlin, August Harlin, and Jackson Smith all of Plymouth WI; and is further survived by other relatives and friends.
There will be a private celebration of life held by the family. She will be missed!
