Cherie A. Cvetezar, 76, of Manitowoc passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at her residence.
Cherie was born on April 26, 1949 in Manitowoc to Leonard and Shirley (Herzog) Kaderabek. She was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School. Cherie furthered her education at the Manitowoc Teachers College, where she received her associate degree in teaching. On July 18, 1970, she married Ernest Cvetezar at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Cherie owned and operated Raiserite Concrete Lifting Inc and HMI with her husband Ernest for many years until their retirement.
Cherie had a strong faith and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She found great comfort and strength in praying the rosary with her prayer group. Cherie adored her grandchildren and made it a priority to attend their sporting events and dance recitals. She treasured family gatherings, especially when they included board games, card games, puzzles, and plenty of laughter. Cherie had a strong bond with her brothers and sisters, that was filled with love and lifelong memories. She enjoyed spending time up north and in Florida. Cherie had a lifelong love for animals, especially for horses and dogs.
Cherie is survived by her husband: Ernest Cvetezar, Manitowoc; two sons: Jeff (Jennifer) Cvetezar, Manitowoc and Brian (Jane) Cvetezar, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Ella, Dylan, Ava, and Vivian Cvetezar; sisters and brothers: Mary (Jon) Aleckson, Mount Horeb, and Karen Kaderabek, Hawaii, Mark (Debra) Kaderabek, Whitelaw, and Denise (Bob) Weiler, Delafield; and two sisters-in-law: Debby Price, IL, and Sue Cvetezar, FL. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cherie was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard and Shirley Kaderabek; and one brother: Larry Kaderabek.
A funeral service to celebrate Cherie’s life will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi, Grand Site, 1416 Grand Ave., with Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, March 2, 2026 at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Cherie will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
