Cheryl Chasensky Obituary

Cheryl Chasensky (nee Glenn) Age 66, of Braidwood, IL, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024 at her home. Born July 28, 1957 in Tuscola, IL to the late Roy and Vera (nee Summers) Glenn. Cheryl was a very active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Braidwood. She was a member of their CCW, Parish Council, former Director of Religious Education, CCD teacher, and also assisted with VBS. Cheryl was a former dispatcher for ComEd and worked for the Reed-Custer School District as an administrative assistant. Cheryl was such a proud Nana of all her grandchildren. Her heart was fullest when her home was filled with family and friends, sharing laughs with her witty sense of humor. She had a deep devotion to her church and community, as well as the virtual games of euchre to keep everyone connected across distances.

Surviving are three daughters, Melissa (Chad) Fasig of Bloomington, IL, Michelle Chasensky of Lemont, IL, and Mary (Blake) Hess of Windsor, CO; one son, Michael (Angela) Chasensky of Bloomington, IL; six grandchildren, Raegan Fasig, Kira Plath, Kenzie Fasig, Brody Hess, Ella Chasensky, and Hank Hess; brother, Jerry Glenn of Diamond, IL; and her very much loved sisters-in-law that were more like sisters, Mary and Susan. Also surviving are two nephews, Jared Glenn and Jeff Glenn. Preceding her in death was her husband, Thomas Chasensky; and sister-in-law, Joella Glenn.
