Cheryl A. “Cheri” (Lambert) Herzog

Cheryl A. “Cheri” Herzog, age 63 of Manitowoc, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at her residence surrounded by family following a 22 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Cheri was born on May 16, 1960 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Robert J. and Rosemary A. (Kochan) Lambert. She grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1978 graduate of Manitowoc Roncalli High School. Cheri was a 1979 graduate of Wisconsin College of Cosmetology. On October 1, 1982 Cheri was married to Arnold F. “Butch” Herzog III at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Cheri began her career as a hairdresser at J.C. Penney’s in Manitowoc and later worked as a in-home daycare provider for children and also worked for Tactile Medical in Minnesota as an insurance billing specialist. Cheri and Butch lived in Rochester, New York and also in Champlin, Minnesota for many years moving back to Manitowoc in 2022. Cheri enjoyed camping, cross stitch, and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: Arnold “Butch” Herzog, Manitowoc; their three children: Paul (Laura) Herzog, Duluth, MN, Lisa (Brent) Hoffman, Menomine, WI, Chad (Lauren) Herzog, Brooklyn Park, MN; seven grandchildren: Tucker, Kail, Selah, Isabelle, Elias, Wells, Marin; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Donald (Ann) Lambert, Germantown, Mark (Kay) Lambert, Manitowoc, Edith Lambert, Baldwin, MS; one sister: Michele (Cary) Kottke, Amherst; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Kim (Randy) Berres, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Rosemary Lambert; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arnold F. and Delores “Lori” Herzog Jr.; one brother: David Lambert; one brother-in-law: Jeff Christensen.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center, 3613 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc. Pastor Ken Taylor will officiate with burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Memorial donations in Cheri's name can be made for local missions at United Ministries - Mosaic, 7217 Calumet Avenue, Manitowoc, WI 54220.
