Christopher "Chris" James McCredie

Christopher “Chris” James McCredie, 65, passed away on March 10, 2026.

Chris was born on June 26, 1960 in Bayfield, WI to Kevan M. and Margaret (Witeck) McCredie. He attended school in Bayfield. Chris enjoyed hunting with his brother, Shawn, going up north, driving 4-wheelers and loved his four-legged friends, peanut, Jack, and Brittney.

Chris is survived by two brothers: Kevin “Beaver” McCredie and Shawn (Liz) McCredie; nieces and nephew: Kari, Kourtney, Kasey, and Kelly; step nephews: Casey, Andy and Brandon; great-nephew: Hayden; step great-nephew: Rivers; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew: Kraig.

A life celebration will be held to honor Chris’ life on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 1:30 pm until 4:00 pm at the Salvation Army Chapel, 415 N. 6th Street.
