Craig P. Hickey

Craig P. Hickey, age 38 of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, January 27, 2023, as a result of a lifelong battle with childhood cancer.

Craig was born on July 15, 1984 in Oconto Falls, son of Patrick W. Hickey and the late Kathryn A. Jacobson. Craig grew up in New Holstein and graduated from New Holstein High School. He enjoyed playing sports, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid Packer fan.  Craig took a lot of pride in working for Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and Briess Industries in Chilton. He enjoyed countless fond memories from numerous family vacations to northern Wisconsin lakes in the summer and vacations abroad with family. Craig will always be remembered as having unsurmountable hope and the kindest heart.  Against all odds during his entire life, he never gave up and had a charming sense of humor.

Survivors include his father and step-mother: Patrick (Traci) Hickey of Maribel; three siblings: Scott (Jackie) Hickey of Tomah, Ryan Hickey of Manitowoc, and Megan Hickey of Rochester, MN; beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Kathryn Jacobson; grandparents: Donald and Jovita Hickey, Orace and Caroline Jacobson, and Dorothy Huberty.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. The Rev. Santiago Turiano Jr. will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation has taken place at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
