Cynthia "Cindy" Frozena

Cynthia “Cindy” Gille Frozena died on February 27, 2026 at home with her family by her side. 

She was born November 8, 1952 to Kenneth LeMoyne Gille and Anna Margaret Gillenwaters Gille in Milwaukee, WI.

Cindy graduated from Roncalli High School in 1971. In 1984 she graduated from Lakeshore Technical Institute in Cleveland, WI with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. In 1995 she earned her Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI and in 2000 her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Cindy was a medical writer for nursing journals, text books, certification exams, online continuing education courses and patient education materials.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 52 years and 2 months, Jerome (Jerry) Felix Frozena, Manitowoc WI, her sister, Amy Louise Radcliff, New Carlisle, IN, brother-in-law and sister in laws John and Mary Frozena, Crivitz, WI, daughter Margaret Mary Frozena and son-in-law Gerald Robert Nachtwey, Richmond, KY, daughter Elizabeth Anne Frozena and son-in-law Thomas Ryan Powers, Cary IL, grandsons Solomon Xavier Frozena Nachtwey and Felix Ignatius Frozena Nachtwey; granddaughters Lucille Rose Powers and Vivienne Josephine Margaret Powers, Cary IL.

Cindy is also survived by wonderful friends including her good buddy Lisa Evenson, the always upbeat Kathleen Miller, co-author and long time friend Maryann “Stu” Hurtt, and her beloved Roncalli Girls; Nancy Belinske, Trisha Nelson, Kathy Olson, Julie Schroeder, Monica Skubal and MaryJo Steiner.

The family wishes to thank nurses Jane, Lynn, and Paula, CNA Rebekah, social worker Kayla and Chaplain Tim of Heartland Hospice.

There will be a memorial mass and gathering at a later date.
