David G. Miller

We are sad to announce the passing of David G. Miller of Manitowoc. He passed away at age 56. David passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle.

David was born on September 11th, 1967, to Winnifred and Gerald Miller. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc.  David was a long-time employee at Parker. David met the love of his life, Melissa Levande and recently celebrated 34 years of marriage.

David is survived by his wife and 2 daughters Abigail Miller and Julia (Stuart) Powell. His grandson, Jiovonni DeBauch. His sister Katherine (Anthony) Koppa. His brother Dean Miller. Mother and Father-in-Law, George and Barb Levande. Two brother- in -laws Paul (Jane) Levande and Greg (Ellen) Levande. His God children Tanya (Steven) Tesarik, Cheyenne (Russell) Popour and Daniel (Marina) Koppa as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

David cherished his native heritage, often telling tales of learning about hunting and fishing from his uncles on the Bad River Reservation. He had a great love for the outdoors and nature.  Among the seasons, fall held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed watching the geese fly over on their way south for the winter. Even amid thunderstorms, he'd sit outside watching the skies. Fond memories flood my mind, particularly those nights spent stargazing alongside Dave. Lake Winnebago was a place he really loved, where he and his friends would fish, returning home and sizzling up their catch. His ultimate joy materialized in the form of a cabin nestled in the woods up north, a haven where he and his family gathered around crackling bonfires, had fun 4-wheeling adventures, and enjoyed a shared passion for shooting guns. His life was an embodiment of his most cherished dreams.

A memorial service will be held on December 29, 2023, from 3-6 at Connection Church, 1455 North Rapids Rd Manitowoc, WI 54220.
