David J. Singer

David J. Singer, age 67 of Manitowoc passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

David was born July 21, 1954, in Manitowoc, son of Nona (Miller) Singer and the late John Singer. He attended school in Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1972 from Roncalli High School. He then attended St. Norbert College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree. David married Joy Priem on February 19, 1987, in Manitowoc.

David will be remembered for his quick wit, “he’s so funny” heard often by others, and for the love for his grandchildren: Riley, Cooper, and Adelaide. He will also be remembered for his cooking/grilling skills and his collection of cookbooks. He loved sailing with his friends from the Manitowoc Yacht Club in his younger days.

Survivors include his wife: Joy Singer, Manitowoc; his mother: Nona Singer, Manitowoc; son: Matthew (Robyn) Wood and their children: Riley, Cooper Wood, Bellevue; daughter: Sarah Wood and her daughter: Adelaide Wood, Verona; brother: Steven (Jean) Singer, New Richmond; two nieces: Amanda (Joel) LeBlanc and their daughter: Kenzie LeBlanc, MN; Natalie Singer, Madison. He was preceded in death by his father: John Singer; grandparents: Clarence and Lily Singer; Flora Miller; brother: Michael Singer; in – laws: Roberta and Dennie Easter.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday June 24, 2022, at Lakeshore Life Celebration Center/ Peace United Church, 3613 Waldo Blvd, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will Officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Church from 9:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am.
