Deborah "Debbie" A. Evenson

Deborah A. Evenson, age 59, of Valders, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Debbie was born on March 19, 1966, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Robert and Connie (Mansfield) Tosdale. She graduated from Valders High School Class of 1984 and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.

On July 19, 1986, she was united in marriage to Todd Evenson at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders.

Debbie had a deep love for gardening, especially tending to her flowers and vegetable garden. She will be remembered for her humility, kindness, and selflessness. Family meant everything to her, and she was incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved sharing stories about their latest basketball or volleyball games with anyone willing to listen.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 39 years, Todd; her daughter Megan and son-in-law Anthony Fischer, along with their children Aubree, Mason, and Tucker; her son Justin and his girlfriend Cheyenne Propson, and her children Ariana and Dustin Jr. Debbie is also survived by her parents, Robert and Connie Tosdale; her siblings David Tosdale, Nancy (Jeff) VanWinkle, and Tammy (Greg) Perkins; mother-in-law, Judy Evenson; and her siblings-in-law: Lori (Scott) Christel, Kelly (Matt) Krogh, and Lee (Mary) Evenson. She will also be missed by many nieces and a nephew and her special dog Gunner and granddog Diesel.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Donald Evenson, and her nephew, Kurt Evenson, and her dog Ruby.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Debbie on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Christianson and Deja Funeral Home, 202 S. Liberty St., Valders. Cremation has taken place at the All-Care Cremation Center with the burial of her cremated remains at a later date at the Valders West Cemetery. The family is asking for anyone who comes, dress casually as Debbie would want it.
