Debra J. Fencl, age 68 of Manitowoc, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 21, 2022 at her residence.
The former Debra Iwen was born on October 7, 1953 in Wausau, daughter of the late Franklin and Jean (Woller) Rusch. She graduated from Two Rivers Washington High School and continued her education at LTC where she obtained her Medical Assistant Degree. On April 16, 2004 Debra was married to Ronald Fencl in Waupun. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2012.Debra worked as a CNA and Home Health-Aide before she began an 18-year career with Kwik-Trip. In her retirement she enjoyed babysitting, crocheting, her family, and corresponding with friends as pen pals. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include her four children: Rebecca Ruelle, Manitowoc and her special friend Mark Kiley; Robert (Aimee) Ruelle, Forest Junction; Joseph Ruelle, Mishicot; Jon Ruelle, Chicago and his fiancé Saulius Valentinavicius, four grandchildren: Monica (Kyle) Eslinger, Forest Junction; Natasha (Steven) Hostettler, Hilbert; Bobbie-Jo Ruelle, Reedsville; Mason Ruelle, Manitowoc; six great grandchildren: Emmett, Asher, Daphne, Braxton, Wesley and baby C; the father of her children: Wayne Ruelle; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Sue Baker, Tomahawk; Connie (Walter) Laffin, Wausau; Cindy (Jerry) Baker, Wausau; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Franklin and Jean Rusch, her husband: Ronald Fencl; one nephew: Jason; three brothers-in-law: Don Baker, Jeff Fencl, Paul Fencl; mother-in-law: June Fencl.
Cremation has taken place at The All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4105 Michigan Avenue, Manitowoc with Adam Diehl officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the EMT, the 911 dispatcher, and the Manitowoc Police Department for their help and care of their mother. Flowers will be accepted a half hour before the service.
