Debra C. Peter

Debra C. Peter, age 58, of Manitowoc passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her residence.

Debra was born September 23, 1962 in Bay City, MI, daughter of the late Arvon and Carol (Frassetto) Peter.  She was a graduate of Lutheran High School, Manitowoc with the Class of 1980.

Debra was a registered nurse and graduated from nursing school in 1986. After working in local trauma facilities, she became a full-time traveling RN and spent time in many states throughout the country. Debra enjoyed traveling to new places, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and playing the piano.

Survivors include her children:  Daniel Peter, Atlanta, GA; Karla Cook, Broken Arrow, OK; five grandchildren:  Abigail, Kenzi, Katreina, Kaleb, Karsyn; her siblings:  Mona (Dennis) Friske, National City, MI; Suzy (Gary) Steinmetz, Watertown, S.D.; Kris (Bob) Lischka, Manitowoc; David (Stacey) Peter, Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law:  Chip LaViolette, Sun City, AZ; daughter-in-law:  Rafaela Peter, Atlanta, GA; best friend:  Kaylene (James) Nixon, Manitowoc; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Debra was preceded in death by her parents  Arvon and Carol Peter and one sister Terri LaViolette.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and a Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Matt Zimpelmann with Debra’s remains being laid to rest at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
