Delores E. (Klemens) Oelke, 83, of Manitowoc passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 under the care of Aurora Hospice. The family appreciates and is thankful for the care and support of the Aurora Medical Center staff.
Delores was born on May 27, 1942, in Underhill, WI to the late Walter and Paulina (Jaeger) Klemens. She was a 1960 graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, WI. Delores married her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Oelke on November 11, 1961, at St. Boniface Church. She worked at Metalware Corporation for 27 years prior to her retirement. Delores cherished time with her family, whom she kept on their toes with her sharp wit and steel-trap memory. She maintained close relationships with long-term friends and enjoyed regular outings with the ladies from the bowling league. She filled her time with crossword puzzles, reading, playing cards, and caring for her houseplants. Delores was also a life-long, dedicated fan of the Packers.
Delores is survived by her children: Christine Oelke (Paul), Randy Oelke (Becky), Dawn Budnik, and Carrie Jo Martinco; grandchildren: Danielle Budnik (Chris), Jordan Budnik, Carly Martinco, Nicholas Martinco (Sam), Alyssa Oelke (Jacob), and Jayden Oelke; great-grandson: Nash Martinco; siblings: Dorothy Hester, Agnes Ollendorf, Susan Peterson (Ritchie), Richard Klemens (Christine), and John Klemens (Sue), Brother-in-law Darwin (Mary) Oelke. She will also be fondly remembered by her special friend, Chris M. Oelke, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard; her parents: Walter and Paulina Klemens; her siblings: Leonard Klemens and Helen McKenna.
Per family wishes, Delores will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
