Donald Stutzman Obituary

Donald E. Stutzman, age 90 of the Town of Two Rivers, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.

Don was born July 30, 1934 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Ervin H. and Anna M. (Sutter) Stutzman of Summit, IL.

Don attended school in Summit, IL and graduated with the class of 1952 from Argo Community High School., Argo, IL. In 1954 he married Joan L. Ulrich of Summit, IL. Joan preceded him in death on July 12, 2005. On June 16, 2007 Don married Gwen Denise Bergman. Gwen went to be with her Lord on September 1, 2014.

Don served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. He also served in the Illinois National Guard from 1959 until 1968 serving in an Air Defense Missile Site south of Chicago as a Senior Radar Operator and Crew Chief.

Don was self employed in remodeling for 30 years and also farmed for many years. He loved fishing, hunting and bird watching during his life.

Survivors include his three daughters: Beth Ann Stutzman, Green Bay, Amy Jo (Karl) Kirmse, Glenbeulah, Meg (Rick) Auguston, Appleton; four grandchildren: Alana, Gastin, Taylor and Kailey; many great-grandchildren; step-daughter: Blaire Bergman, Netherlands, one sister and brother-in-law: Diane (William) Litt, Plano, TX; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Bonnie Panosh, Whitelaw, Emory (Gloria) Panosh, Minneapolis, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ervin and Anna Stutzman; his two wives: Joan Stutzman, and Gwen Stutzman; one brother-in-law: Gino Panosh.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 1921 Adams Street, Two Rivers. Rev. Heather Yerion-Keck will officiate with entombment of his cremated remains at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends can call on Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church, Two Rivers from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Military Honors will be accorded at the church following the service by the Two Rivers American Legion Post #165 and VFW Post #1248.
