Doris Goehring Obituary

Doris Jean (Jagodinsky) Goehring, 86, of Reedsville passed away on the morning of June 5, 2026. Doris was born in Manitowoc on May 24, 1940, to parents Raymond and Ethel (Franke) Jagodinsky. She attended local schools and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1958. Shortly thereafter she met and fell in love with Carl Goehring, who remained her favorite dinner date for the rest of her life. The pair were wed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc in 1961 and were blessed with 65 years of marriage. Together they raised three children and worked as a team to manage their family dairy farm.

Doris’s family will remember and cherish the quiet-but-strong encouragement and the sincere, heartfelt care she showed the people in her life. While she never wanted to be the loudest voice in the room, her presence and support were unwavering. Her caring nature also extended to the special bond she shared with the cats that made their way onto the farm. Doris enjoyed vacations to Mackinac Island, sewing, and crocheting. In her younger years, she also enjoyed playing dartball and beanbags. She was a blessing to those who knew her.

Doris is survived by her husband: Carl; her son: James “Jim” (Brenda) Goehring of Reedsville; her daughter Amy (Jay) Komis of Green Bay; her grandchildren: Taylor Komis, Joshua (Rachel) Komis, Bailey (Brandon Thompson) Goehring, Rhonda (Jessy) Hill, and Ryne Braun; and her great-grandchildren: Oakley Thompson and Harvest Hill.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law: Diane and David Duranceau; her great-granddaughter Ember Hill; and her sister: Ellen Jagodinski.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. Prior to mass, the family will receive visitors from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery and a meal of consolation to follow.
