Doris M. (Knuell) Remiker

Doris M. Remiker, age 89 of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Apple Creek Place Assisted Living, Appleton with her daughter Kim by her side.

The former Doris Knuell was born on July 13, 1933, in Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Elmer and Roneta (Scherer) Knuell. She graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the class of 1951. On October 17, 1953 Doris married Ralph J. Remiker at First Reformed Church, Manitowoc. Doris worked at Eastman Mfg. Company and with her husband owning and operating R&R Sales & Service for 20 years. Doris was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, now Peace United Church of Christ and the Red Hatters. She loved animals and she will be happy to be reunited with her beloved “Remy”

Survivors include her husband: Ralph J. Remiker, Manitowoc; her four children: Kay Lynn Remiker-Hawkins and her husband Steven Hawkins, St. Charles, MO, Lee Remiker, Manitowoc, Amy (Mark) Dworak, Manitowoc, Kim (Randy) Siebert, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Nicole (Christopher) Pidcoe, Alyssa (Jesse) Strieter, Zachariah Siebert and Lucas Siebert; one great-granddaughter: Riaus Siebert; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law include: Deliah Remiker, Carol Adams, Ruth (Bob) Woldt, James (Sherry) Remiker, Francis “Pat” Remiker and his special friend: Darlene Eisenmann, Robert (Mary) Remiker, Ruth (Gordon) Mueller, Joan (Ronald) Duckart and Jan Remiker, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Roneta Knuell; one infant sister: Eunice Knuell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Catherine (Norbert) Naidl, George (Elaine) Remiker, Lucille (Milton) Groelle, Tom Adams, Leroy (Jeanette) Remiker, Donald Remiker, Jean (Joseph) Krupka, Allan Remiker and Paul Remiker.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center/Peace UCC, 3613 Waldo Boulevard, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dr. Matthew L. Sauer will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM.
