Edward Fritsch

Edward Fritsch, age 60, of Whitelaw, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Born on June 1, 1965, in Manitowoc, Edward was the son of William and Florence (Schamburek) Fritsch. He grew up on the family farm and attended St. Michael’s School in Whitelaw and graduated from Reedsville High School in 1983.

Edward received an electrician’s degree from Lakeshore Technical College and worked his first job at Kasson Cheese. He then worked for Manitowoc Engineering until his retirement.

Edward enjoyed playing Sheepshead and watched every NASCAR race he could on television. He also enjoyed the opportunities to view races at the Elkhart Lake Speedway. Edward was an avid reader and especially enjoyed mystery novels. Being the youngest in the family, Edward took on the responsibility of living at home and being the primary caretaker for his parents. His siblings will be forever grateful for that decision.

Edward is survived by two brothers, Bill (Betty) Fritsch and Glenn (Gayle) Fritsch. He is also survived by five sisters, Helen (Victor) Herrmann, Rita Mangin, Joyce Schrank, Sandy (Tom) Isselmann, and Betty (Dave) Modra. He was also a proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, John and Nancy Cohen, and brothers-in-law Darryl Mangin and Eugene Schrank.

Private funeral services were held.
