Edward J. “Butch” Lenz, age 74 formerly of Manitowoc and a resident of Meadow View Nursing Home of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Meadow View Nursing Home.
Butch was born on September 16, 1950, in Manitowoc, a son of the late Edward and Marion (Kohlbeck) Lenz Sr. He grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1969 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. In the past, Butch worked for Lenz Auto and Marine, Vinton Construction, Louie’s Sporting Goods as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on antique outboard motors.
Survivors include one granddaughter: Malisha LeMay; one grandson: Jaden Lenz-Fiedler; four great-grandchildren: Keira, Carter, Layla, Hayden; nieces and nephews: Gay (Ismael) Acevedo, Joy Bonk, Tony (Sue) Bonk, Janice Schiesl, Jill Bonk, Russ Schmitz; great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Marion Lenz Sr.; one daughter: Laura Lenz-Fiedler; one sister and brother-in-law: Karen (Dale) Koeser; one nephew: Randy Schmitz.
Cremation has taken place at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may gather at the entrance to the cemetery at 1:15 p.m.
