Elaine Eleanor Seefeldt (86) passed away peacefully at Shady Lane Nursing Home, Manitowoc on January 19th, 2024 with family by her side.
Elaine was born on July 4th, 1937 to the late Henry and Elsie (Lehrman) Havlinek. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1955. After high school Elaine married Richard Seefeldt on September 1st, 1956. He preceded her in death on May 4th, 2020.
Elaine worked for Hamilton Industries for a short time before becoming an owner/operator of Breslers 33 Flavors ice cream store in Manitowoc, WI with her husband. Later they moved the store to Two Rivers and renamed it Hometown Ice Cream. After the sale of the Two Rivers store, she worked for the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s department as the Head Matron over food service until her retirement in 1996.
Elaine enjoyed traveling the Lakeshore area looking for hidden treasures at estate sales, auctions and yard sales. She created quite a collection of colored glass over the years. This collection filled many curio cabinets for display. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Elaine had many dogs during her life and loved spoiling them with walks by the lake. Elaine was also a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran church in Two Rivers.
Elaine is survived by her five sons Shawn (Joanne) Seefeldt, Craig Seefeldt, Scott and special friend (Christine) Seefeldt, Steve Seefeldt, David (Karen) Seefeldt and one daughter, Lori Richter (Doug). Also survived by four grandsons (Brad, Brandon, Kadin and Jackson) and one granddaughter, (Brianna), also two great granddaughters (Kora and Bailey).
At the request of Elaine, a private family ceremony will be held at Knollwood Mausoleum. In lieu of visitation, expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.lakeshorefamilyfuneralhomes com or mailed to Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
