Elizabeth L. Allie

Elizabeth “Betsy” L. Allie, age 90, a Two Rivers resident, passed away early Friday morning, August 20, 2021 at The Hamilton Home of Two Rivers.

Betsy was born on January 3, 1931 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Albert and Leona (Beeck) Gauthier. She was a graduate of Wausaukee High School. On March 27, 1951 she married John “Jack” D. Allie in Fort Lawton, WA. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1994. Betsy lived in Two Rivers for many years and moved to Stephenson, MI. in 2000 until she moved back in 2019. She was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Veterans Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Betsy loved playing cards, puzzles, birds and embroidery. She was a kind soul who was loved by all.

Survivors include one daughter: Barbara Palzewicz, Two Rivers; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Dennis (Laurie) Allie, DePere, Douglas Allie, Durand, MI; seven grandchildren: Amanda (Dennis) Baumler, Joseph and Alexandria Palzewicz, Dana (Marty) Ponce, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Jacob Allie; five great grandchildren: Malorie, Dominic, Marty Jr., Eddie and Will; one brother: Glenn (Elaine) Gauthier, DePere; and one sister-in-law: Winifred LeClair, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law: John Palewicz; three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Pleier with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, August 23, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betsy’s name to Aurora at Home Hospice.
