Eugene "Geno" Beck Obituary

Eugene “Geno” John Beck of Plymouth passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan at the age of 79. Geno was born on October 24, 1942 in Plymouth, son of the late Oscar and Ruth (Sneider) Beck.  After graduating from Plymouth High School, Geno entered the U.S. Air Force, serving in Germany before being honorably discharged in 1964.

In May of 1965, he married Lois Paul and together they had three children. In February of 1991, he married Beverly (Bliek) Schuricht who preceded him in death. Geno worked at Richardson Brothers in Sheboygan Falls before returning to the family dairy farm. He was quite proud of being one of the first in the Sheboygan Country to raise red & white holsteins.  While farming, he was also a volunteer fireman with the Town of Greenbush, serving as the chairman of the Greenbush Fireman’s Picnic. In addition, he was elected to serve on the Greenbush Town Board, both as supervisor and chairman.  Eventually, he left farming and was employed at Sohn Manufacturing in Elkhart Lake and then Miller-Boeldt, Inc in Plymouth until his retirement.

Geno was a huge Packer fan and also enjoyed watching the Brewers and the Bucks. For many years, during the county fair and on Saturday nights in the summer, he could be found frying brats & burgers at the fairgrounds. He was also a member of the Ladwig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 246 of Plymouth.

Eugene is survived by his three children, Timothy (Marty) Beck of Bettendorf, Iowa, Angela Okoroma of Plymouth, and Brad (Fricy) Beck of Sheboygan, as well as his grandchildren, Laura, Megan and Ian Beck and Sophia Okoroma.  He is further survived by nephews and a niece, as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bev, and his brother, Richard Beck.

Geno’s family would like to express their gratitude to Tender Hearts, the American Legion, and his dear friends who have been there for him.  Your kindness will be remembered.

In lieu of any public services, cremation has taken place and the family will gather privately at a later time.

Memorials in Eugene’s name may be directed to the Ladwig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 246 of Plymouth.
