Evelyn Theresa (Gospodarek) Windus

Evelyn T. Windus, age 88, of Manitowoc, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at Manitowoc Health and Rehab Center.

Evelyn was born July 15, 1937 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Florian and Alvina (Zywicke) Gospodarek. On April 11, 1975 she was united in marriage to Paul E. Windus in Manitowoc.  He preceded her in death on July 4, 2024.

Evelyn worked at the Tinsel Factory and in the bakery department of Copps grocery store until her retirement.  She enjoyed family fall trips, planting flowers and playing slots at the casinos.

Survivors include her children David Windus, Richard & Marcia Barbier and Kathy Leake, 6 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, one sister Betty Guse, one sister-in-law June Gospodarek as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Florian & Alvina Gospodarek, her husband Paul Windus, one son Randy Barbier, one brother Richard Gospodarek, one brother-in-law Robert Guse as well as numerous in-laws.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery following services.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
