Francis G. Rocheleau, age 93, of Manitowoc passed away Wednesday April 1, 2026
at Harbor View Nursing Home.
Francis was born September 11, 1932 in Two Rivers, son of the late Leo and Helen
(Phalen) Rocheleau. He was a graduate of Washington High School with the Class of 1951.
He was married to the former Kathleen Muldowney on 10/06/1956. She preceded him in death
on 01/17/2021.
Francis served in the Navy with his brother Richard on the USS Tidewater from 1952-56.
He worked as a tool and dye maker at Hamilton, Badger Northland and Leach company.
Francis enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery competition. He won many state archery
championships indoor, outdoor and archery golf. He was ranked second best archer in
Wisconsin for many years and had the first perfect score on an outdoor range.
Survivors include his children Thomas, Lee and Sharon Moehring, grandchildren Jordan
Schumacher and Ricky Moehring and one brother Louis (Barbara). Francis was preceded in death
by his parents Leo & Helen Rocheleau, his wife Kathleen and daughter Mary, four brothers Leo
(Phyllis) and James (Ruth), Richard (Marie), and William (Mary Lou) and one sister Hazel
Kowalsky (brother-in-law Robert) and one half sister Marjorie (Earl) Gillespie. Other survivors
include many nieces and nephews. Mike and Ric (Leo and Phyllis),Teri, Cathy, Jim and Donna (James
and Ruth), Karl, Richard, Anne, Kay, Rene and Andy (Richard and Marie), Cindy, Sandy, Bob. Randy,
Scott (Louis and Barbara), and Paula and Ken (William and Mary Lou).
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Klein and Stangel
Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Luncheon will be at Rita's
following burial.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the
time of the services.
The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Klein and Stangel Funeral Home location, is assisting
the Rocheleau family with arrangements.
