Gary F. Herrmann

Gary F. Herrmann, age 87 of Two Rivers died Sunday evening, April 30, 2023 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Gary was born March 3, 1936, in ­­­Manitowoc, son of the late Paul and Apoline (Stokes) Herrman. He attended schools in the Manitowoc area, graduating with the class of 1953 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He then served in the United Stated Navy. On October 7, 1961, Gary married the former Joann “Darlene” Kabat at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He worked for Manitowoc Engineering for 17 years and from 1971 to 1988 Gary and his wife owned and operated the Coach Light Inn. He then was employed for a number of years at Motel 6.

Survivors include his wife Joann “Darlene” Herrmann, Two Rivers; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Darren Herrmann, Two Rivers, David (Donna) Herrmann, Brillion; two grandchildren: Cali Herrmann, Watertown and Caleb Herrmann, Watertown; two step grandchildren: Jayme (Jason) Schwoerer, Manitowoc, Shanna Donaher, Manitowoc; four brothers: Kenneth (Kathy) Herrman, West Bend, Daniel (Pat) Herrman, Milwaukee, William Herrman, Manitowoc, Thomas Herrman, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jon (Kathy) Kabat, New Holstein, Donna Bruechert, Two Rivers, Mary Jo (Daniel) Anhalt, Menchalville, Kathy Cisler, Manitowoc, Randy Kabat, Manitowoc, Eileen Kabat, Two Rivers; nieces; nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Apoline Herrmann; three brothers-in-law: Richard Kabat, Gary Kabat and Thomas Kabat.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 S. 14th St, Manitowoc, with Deacon Alan Boeldt officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post#88. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of services at 11:00 am. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum.
