During the early morning hours of March 15, 2023, Gary Moritz of Kimberly (and Manitowoc and Kiel) died six weeks shy of 80 years old after a stoic and brave 4.5 year battle with myelodysplastic syndrome.

Gary had two beloved daughters, Rebecca and Lindsey; two beloved grandchildren, Moritz and Odette; and a much beloved girlfriend of five years.
Gary was an avid sports fan throughout his life and could recite dates, players, statistics, and sports moments spanning decades with astounding accuracy. He rarely missed his daughters’ sporting events and loved his weekly updates about his grandchildren’s sporting endeavors. His love for cross-country and track was unparalleled.
