Geneva M. (Herrmann) Karbon

Geneva M. Karbon, age 97, of Manitowoc passed away Thursday January 2, 2025 at Manitowoc Health and Rehab.

Geneva was born May 16, 1927 in the Town of Kossuth, daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Steeber) Herrmann.  She was united in marriage to Roland A. Karbon on October 29, 1946 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek.  He preceded her in death on April 5, 2019.

Geneva spent her life being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and especially cooking for her family and friends. Her recipes will be enjoyed for many generations to come.

Survivors include her children:  Roger Karbon; Ronald Karbon; Dennis (Cindy) Karbon, all of Manitowoc; Joan (Bill) O’Connor, Albany; four grandchildren:  Jason Reimer (Ashley), Nicole Cockroft, Jaclyn Karbon, Courtney (Chris) Bolle; 8 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Frances Herrmann, her husband Roland Karbon, six brothers:  Clarence (Clara) Herrmann, Victor (Tillie) Herrmann, Charles (Alice) Herrmann, John (Margaret) Herrmann, Leonard (Marie) Herrmann, Joe Herrmann; one sister Regina (Ervin) Vraney, and an infant daughter Mary Lou Karbon.

Private family services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home. Burial took place at Evergreen Cemetery next to her husband Roland.
