Gerald "Jerry" T. Rau

Gerald “Jerry” T. Rau age 87, formerly of Manitowoc and currently a resident of Rhinelander, died Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Tomahawk Health Services in Tomahawk.

Jerry was born on May 10, 1935 in Two Rivers, son of the late Dr. Gerald A. and Madeline (Webster) Rau. He was a 1953 graduate of Manitowoc’s Lincoln High School and a 1958 graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Biology. Jerry was a Research Biologist for Bio Tech Resources in Manitowoc. In the past he served on the Manitowoc Park Commission and was a member of the National Audubon Society.

Survivors include a special friend: Karen Fenske, Rhinelander; one sister and brother-in-law: Susan (William) Sheeley, Minocqua; three nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dr. Gerald A. and Madeline Rau.

Cremation has taken place and burial of his cremated remains will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers.

The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Pfeffer Funeral Home location of Manitowoc is assisting with arrangements.
