Goldie M. Cox, age 92, formerly of Dayton, OH, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Waterford of Plymouth.
The former Goldie Bostic was born on December 15, 1932, in Big Stone Gap, VA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan (Jackson) Bostic. Goldie worked in the electronics assembly for many years in Dayton, OH and Daytona Florida making many friends wherever she went. She moved from Dayton, OH to Plymouth WI in June 2024 to be closer to family. In May of 1974 Goldie was married to Sylvester Cox in Dayton, OH. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2011. She enjoyed playing cards especially Bonko. She enjoyed outings with her friends, family gatherings and long conversations on the phone with out of town friends. She is loved by many. She was a world-class shopper.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Greg (Mary) Link, Plymouth; two stepchildren: Barb (Ken) Standifer, Dayton, OH, Bob (Sandy) Cox, Dayton, OH; one granddaughter: Kathryn Link, Maple Grove, MN; 7 step-grandchildren: Amy and Aaron(Jackie) Black, Andrea(Evan)Brown, Christa (Doug) Shie and Dan(Alex) Cox, Lance (Jessica) Nennig, Dotyville, WI, Nathan (Sarah) Nennig, Plymouth,; 2 great grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Susan Bostic; her husband: Sylvester Cox; one step-grandson: David Rea; two sisters.
A memorial service will be held June 21, 2025 at 3PM (visitation will start at 2:30PM) at the Wittkopp Funeral Home, 123 South Street, Plymouth, WI 53073.
