Gweneth J. Buehler, age 88, of Two Rivers, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County.
Gwen was born on June 18, 1936 in Madison to Leo and Irene Braaten. She graduated from Sun Prairie High School. On October 30, 1954 she married Kenneth Buehler. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2005. Gwen was a dedicated and devoted wife, mom, and grandmother. Over the years she worked as a bank teller at local banks and as a secretary for the Two Rivers School District until her retirement. Gwen was a part of the Lioness Club, she worked side by side with Ken in all major Lion’s club including the Smelt Fry, Applefest, and the Eye Bank. She enjoyed golf, bridge playing, and bowling. Gwen thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
Gwen is survived by her children: Kevin Buehler, Steve (Jackie) Buehler, and Julie Buehler; seven grandchildren: Katie (Wes), Ryan, Brett (Anna), Matt, Tyler, Brody, and Logan; two great grandchildren: Myles and Nate; AFS son: Carlos Coirolo and his son Felipe of Uruguay; and siblings: Faye Rathbun, Loreen Kempfer, and Lyle (Kathy) Braaten. She is preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Buehler; parents: Leo and Irene Braaten; sister: Lavaunne Blaska; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
A private family service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 am. Those wanting to view the service may watch through the Lakeshore Family Funeral Home’s Facebook page, with the livestream starting at 11:00 am. Gwen will be laid to rest next to her husband at Forest View Cemetery in Two Rivers.
