Harlan Louis Folletz, 87, of Manitowoc passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Shady Lane.
Harlan was born on November 14, 1937 in Manitowoc to Arthur and Anna (Ruether) Folletz. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Harlan served his country in the United States Army Reserves. On April 25, 1959, he married Janet Fischer. Harlan worked for over 24 years as a Mechanic for Weyerhauser until his retirement. Harlan was an avid sports fan, particularly all Wisconsin sports, and enjoyed watching racing, especially sprint cars.
Harlan is survived by his wife: Janet Folletz; two daughters: Cheryl (David) King, and Sandi (Scott) Tlachac; grandchildren: Aaron (Kayla) King, Rachel (Cassi) King, Brandon (Ali) King, Matt (Holly) Tlachac, and Sam (Dixon) Schwarz; and great-grandchildren: Joey, Payton, Mystique, Izaiah, Ciara, David, Jazlin, Easton, Gwen, Carter, Huxley, and Lacie. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harlan was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Anna Folletz; brother: Clarence Folletz; parents-in-law: Adolph and Ameilia Fischer; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Hilma Fischer, Norman (Elda) Fischer, and Lorraine (Wilmer) Clusen.
Per Harlan’s wishes, no services will be held. Burial of cremains will be at Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
