Harry Kupsh Obituary

Harry A. Kupsh, age 95, of Kellnersville passed away Monday evening May 22, 2023, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls surrounded by his loving family following a brief battle with cancer.

Harry was born on January 17, 1928 in the town of Franklin, son of the late Michael and Anna (Kopidlansky) Kupsh. He attended the Grassy Knoll Grade School. Harry married the former Dolores E. Grall on May 8, 1948 in Manitowoc. The couple celebrated 72 years of marriage. The couple farmed in the town of Franklin from 1954 until 1984 and then moved to the town of Cato from 1984 until 2013 moving to Valders. Dolores preceded him in death on August 18, 2020. Harry then moved to Kellnersville following her death. Besides farming, Harry worked at Hamann Construction, Brillion Iron Works and the Reedsville Co-op. While living in the town of Franklin, Harry served as Treasurer for the town of Franklin. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville, the Whitelaw-Branch Senior Citizens and the Wisconsin Czech’s. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing cards, bingo and reading about the town of Franklin and Manitowoc County. Harry’s greatest joy was his family and attending all sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Connie Anhalt, Plymouth, Kay Lynn (James) Preston, Reedsville, Karen (David) Dietrich, Whitelaw, William (Amy) Kupsh, Green Bay; one daughter-in-law: Ardie Kupsh, Valders; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister: Joan Sheehy, Pulaski; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Elaine Kupsh, Two Rivers, Kathy Grall, Manitowoc, JoAnn Riha (Jim Ingham), Pottsboro, TX, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Michael and Anna Kupsh; his wife: Dolores Kupsh; two sons: Robert Kupsh, John Kupsh; one son-in-law: Glenn “Freddie” Anhalt; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Joseph Kupsh, Michael (Carol) Kupsh; infant brother: Joey and infant sister: Janet; two brothers-in-law: Harold Sheehy, Robert Grall; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Lawrence and Frances Grall.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rev. Santiago Turiano Jr. will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Church on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Harry’s name.
