Hazel M. Kempf

Hazel M. Kempf, age 81 of Manitowoc, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at her residence.

Hazel was born November 9, 1944, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Bourgeois) Mercure. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and being around family and friends.

Hazel is survived by four children: Nancy (Fernando) Salazar, Two Rivers, Lisa Gordon, Manitowoc, Amy Blanke, Manitowoc, Mary Brown, Appleton; eleven grandchildren: Sara, Fernando, Noah, Alex, Calvin, Naomi, Tony, Keeshaun, Travis, Jasmine, Maranda; eleven great-grandchildren: Urijah, Noah, Jacob, Faith, Aliana, Mia, Amari, Nova, Yaraldin, Waylon, Christina; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Dorothy Mercure; one brother: Alfred Mercure.

A celebration of Hazel’s life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14th Street, Manitowoc, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
