James "Jim" H. Schneider

James “Jim” H. Schneider, age 71, of Cleveland and Madison, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison.

Jim was born on October 17, 1949 in Manitowoc, son of the late Sylvester J. Schneider and Arlene (Holzer) Schneider.  He graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1967.  Jim joined the Navy in 1968 and served 4 years during the Vietnam War.  On August 19, 1972 he was united in marriage to the former Maria T. Vasquez in Chino, CA.

Jim was a professional OTR Truck Driver for over 50 years.  He hauled many products from cement tanks, flatbeds, refrigeration, drybox and livestock.  He enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music, watching NASCAR and especially spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife:  Maria (Terrie) Schneider, Madison; sons:  Michael (Joy) Schneider, Madison; Darrel Schneider, Evanston, WY; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four brothers; one sister; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.  Full Military honors will be according following the services by the Vietnam Veteran of America Chapter #731 of Manitowoc.  Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with entombment to take place at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon.
