James Alvin Seefeldt, age 83, a Collins, WI resident, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 4, 2026.
Jim was born on July 6, 1942 in Lena, WI, the son of Arthur Sr. and Evelyn (Krueger) Seefeldt. He was the 4th of 13 children. On April 19, 1965, he married Diane L. Herdina. He was in the US Army for 7 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed being a heavy equipment operator, talking about vintage cars, sitting in his front yard gliders and cutting his lawn.
Jim is survived by his two daughters: Barbara (Brian) Bauknecht, Jackson, MO, and Dawn Sukowaty, Reedsville; seven grandchildren: Erica Smith, Michael Krepline, Karlee & Taylor Bauknecht, Zack & Mack Grimm, and Cassidy Burns; six great-grandchildren: Carson, Colt, Jaxxon, Jack, Josh & Jake; two brothers: Richard Seefeldt and Kenneth Seefeldt; three sisters: Lou Ann Reffke, Margaret Berkers, and Anita Schmit. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife: Diane L. (Herdina); his parents: Arthur Sr. and Evelyn (Krueger) Seefeldt; one sister: Mary Seefeldt; and six brothers: Arthur Jr., Ronald, Daroll, Marvin, Paul and Ralph.
Per Jim’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
