Janet R. Dvorachek, 87, of Manitowoc passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.
Janet was born on November 6, 1937, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Steve and Catherine (Radey) Dvorachek. She was a 1955 graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School and attended the Wisconsin Institute of Medical Assistants in Milwaukee. She worked for St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee from 1958 until retiring in 2003 as supervisor of EKG. Janet moved to Manitowoc in 2015. She enjoyed deer hunting and celebrated and enjoyed her Czech Ancestry. Janet was an extremely good cook and enjoyed sharing her recipes with family and friends. Janet also had an outgoing personality and was always up for any adventure. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc.
Janet is survived by one sister: Adeline Svacina, Manitowoc; brother: Deacon Ron Dvorachek, Georgetown, OH; and eight nieces and nephews: Diane (James) Duszynski, Daniel (Cyndi) Svacina, Tim (Kathy) Svacina, Sharon (Lee) Sleger, Robert Svacina, Lisa (Chris) Post, Sarah Dvorachek, and John (Alex) Dvorachek. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Steve and Catherine Dvorachek; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Jerome Dvorachek, Paul (Nancy) Dvorachek, Mary Anne Dvorachek; and one brother-in-law: Kenneth Svacina.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi, 1121 North 14th St. Manitowoc. The Rev. Nicholas Stellpflug will Celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with Janet’s brother, Deacon Ron Dvorachek. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Reedsville. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the church.
