It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we share the news of the unexpected passing of our dear son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Jason Terp.
Jason was born March 1st, 1977 and was 46 years old. He is the son of Tim and Lois (Metzger) Terp and the amazing brother and hero to Justin (Tanya) and Josh (Anya) Terp. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lauren, and 3 beautiful daughters, Lily, Emma and Sophie. Also surviving Jason are a niece, Mira, and nephews, Alex and Connor Terp along with many special relatives and friends.
Jason was born and raised in Manitowoc. He attended Jackson Elementary, Wilson Junior High and Lincoln High School. After graduating with the class of 1995 from Lincoln High School he attended the Wharton School of Business in Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in finance and real estate. Jason earned many honors while attending both high school and college. He was very successful in his chosen career. However, his greatest accomplishment was raising his three daughters. They were everything to him. He coached many of their various sports teams over the years and was very involved in their lives.
Jason was residing on Bainbridge Island in the state of Washington. As a dear friend said, “While we are profoundly sad, we are grateful and blessed for the beautiful, brilliant, kind, hilarious, loyal, dear and eternal friend and human being Jason was.” He was loved by many and he will always be remembered in this way. Hug those you love every chance you get because someday you may no longer be able to.
A song which sums this up perfectly is “Till You Can’t” by Cody Johnson and it’s worth listening to.
