Jean M. Krupka, age 84 of Manitowoc died Sunday January 29, 2023, at St. Mary’s Home, Felician Village.
She was born March 2, 1938, in Carleton, Kewaunee County, daughter of the late George and Sophie (Stehula) Remiker. Jean was a graduate of Mishicot High School with the class of 1956. On November 15, 1958, she married Joseph G. Krupka in Tisch Mills, he preceded her in death on February 6, 2008. She was employed with the Tinsel Factory, Mirro Aluminum Company, Chuck Wagon Restaurant, Prange’s, Younker’s, and retired from Aitkin Reed in 2000. Jean enjoyed golf, gardening and sewing. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc Elks Club and Jaycees, Catholic Junior League, Holy Innocents Parent Teachers Association, CCD Teacher for 10 years, Daughters of Isabella, and Lakeshore CEW.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Steven (Lynn) Krupka, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law: Kari (Jim) Check, Manitowoc, Sara (Tony) Schneider, Valders; five grandchildren: Tamara and Kyle Krupka, Beth Check, Michelle and Heather Schneider; three great grandchildren: Aiden, Luana, and Ryleigh; four brothers and four sisters-in-law: Robert (Mary) Remiker, Denmark, Francis “Pat” Remiker and special friend Darlene Eisenmann, Mishicot, James (Sherri) Remiker, Mishicot, Jan Remiker, Zander, WI, Ralph (Doris) Remiker, Manitowoc; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Carol Adams, Green Bay, Ruth (Gordon) Mueller, Kewaunee, Joan (Ronald) Duckart, Denmark; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ruth (Bob) Woldt, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Sophie Remiker; husband: Joseph G. Krupka; five brothers and sister-in-law: Donald Remiker, Paul Remiker, George Remiker Jr., Allan Remiker, LeRoy (Jeanette) Remiker; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lucille (Milton) Groelle; Catherine (Norbert) Naidl; brother-in-law: Thomas Adams; one grandson: David Schneider; two nephews: Scott Remiker and Scott Kettner; one niece: Tasha Remiker.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi, Grand Ave, 1416 Grand Ave, Manitowoc. Rev. Doug LeCaptain will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roncalli School in Jeans name.
