Jeanette M. (Krish) Wilda

Jeanette M. Wilda, age 87, of Manitowoc passed away Saturday, January 4, 2024 at Felician Village.

Jeanette was born November 8, 1937 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edward and Beatrice (Witt) Krish.  She grew up on the family farm in the town of Gibson and attended Lakeside (one-room) School, later graduating from Mishicot High School with the Class of 1955.  On May 16, 1959 she was married to Arnold Wilda at the Melnik Presbyterian Church.

Jeanette was employed at Mirro in the office for 8 years, employed at Schuetts Department Store for 12 years and retired from Walmart after 15 years.  She has been a lifelong member of Melnik Presbyterian Church.  Jeanette enjoyed bowling, going to the YMCA, reading but especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years:  Arnold Wilda; her sons:  Mike (Lori) Wilda; Mark Wilda and Debbie Reynolds; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Beatrice Krish, her brother and sister-in-law Harold and Alberta Krish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Melnik Presbyterian Church.  Officiating at the service will be Pastor Warren Kraft CRE/CLP with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services at 2:00 p.m.
