Jeffery S. Beckerleg, age 83, of Two Rivers, passed away April 4, 2026.
Jeffery was born in Sacramento California, moving to Oahu, Hawaii where he spent the first seven years of his life. He then moved to Castro Valley, California, graduating from Castro Valley High School. Soon after, he enlisted in the US Air Force. He served as a crew chief on C1-130s, flying missions during the Viet Nam War era, flying into places such as Spain, Dominican Republic, Alaska, and Chad, Africa.
Jeffery wore many hats throughout his diverse life. He primarily built homes and apartment buildings. He loved, collected, and built hot rods and fished off his own commercial fishing vessel on the California coast. But most of all, he was passionate about ART! He was an exquisite stained glass artist, teaching classes out of his own studio. He later became a well-known ceramic artist, assisting with teaching ceramic students at Sacramento State College, as well as Georgetown California High School, where he was instrumental in establishing ART scholarships. His artwork was displayed in several renowned art galleries throughout Northern California.
Later in life, he grew to be a firearm enthusiast. He served as a Gun Range Officer in Placerville, California. He continued this passion when he moved to Two Rivers, attending area gun ranges in Manitowoc and Two Rivers. Jeffery served as a volunteer for the Manitowoc Sheriff Department.
Jeffery never did anything casually. He dug deep into each passion enthusiastically. Wherever Jeffery went, he made so many friends, so easily.
He was preceded in death by his mother Armeline Cox when he was 10 years old. Survivors include his daughter Nicole Beckerleg of Lakewood, California and a daughter Erin, and the love of his life of 41 years, Vicki Jirikowic.
Jeffery was a master builder who created beautiful things and spaces. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
