Jeffrey Nelson

Jeffrey L. Nelson, age 74, of Manitowoc went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Northridge Nursing Home, Manitowoc.

Jeff was born July 3, 1951 in Manitowoc, son of the late Edwin and Margaret (Schmidt) Nelson.

Jeff worked at Holiday House, Schmitt’s Car Wash, Lauson Chevrolet and Ponderosa.

Jeff enjoyed growing lots of indoor plants, flowers, fishing and raising many small animals and birds, and he enjoyed watching sports.

Survivors include 3 sisters:  Linda Steen, Barbara (David) Leonhard and Trudy (Russ) Lindemann; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Edwin & Margaret Nelson, twin brothers John and Joseph, a sister Debbie, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

We will miss Jeff and look forward to seeing him in his heavenly home. We’re very grateful to the loving staff at Northridge Health and Rehabilitation Center and the Froedert Holy Family Memorial Hospital and Sharon Richardson Community Hospice for the care Jeff received. Also, thanks to all those who have helped Jeff over the years, especially those that have been prayer warriors.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home (928 S. 14th St.), Manitowoc.  Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 12 noon.
